Carleton Rode School
Erected in 1921 on a site opposite All Saints Church and received its first pupils in 1822. Originally a small single storey flint building with a slate roof. It was enlarged by Rev John Chomeley MA in 1872 for up to 150 children, the average attendance being 60. Miss A Styles was the first school mistress. We believe it to be the oldest, continuously occupied schools in Norfolk.
