On Sunday the 17th of September 2006 the History Group was led on a
guided tour of the historic village of Castle Acre near Swaffham. Helen Patterson gave us a very informative insight into the growth & development of the village. Our tour started on Stocks Green, then to the Castle & its extensive earth works. After a relaxing break for lunch in the tea rooms & pubs clustered around the green we gathered at the church & continued on to the priory. |
